Athens Victorian Stroll

The Athens Victorian Stroll committee is thrilled to be at it again!

The Athens Victorian Stroll has been an ongoing and beloved annual tradition that was canceled last year due concerns over COVID-19. With many of our residents and neighbors now vaccinated and accustomed to respecting safety precautions, the committee decided to move forward with its 2021 festivities.

On Saturday, December 11, families and friends will gather for a free, fun-filled day in celebration of the annual Athens Victorian Stroll.

Up and down the historic village’s Second Street and all around town, businesses, residents and community organizations will host family-friendly activities, offer free goodies to eat and entertainment galore, with nods to Athens’s past.

Activities will include horse-drawn hay wagon rides, historic house tours of the Van Loon House, arts and crafts vendors, ice skating at the Athens Riverfront Park, an Athens cemetery tour led by local historian Jonathan Palmer, live music events, an ice sculpture demonstration, a fire dancers performance, and much more.

Be sure not to miss the 4:45PM Christmas tree lighting with Santa at our Riverfront Park!

See below for the Athens Victorian Stroll 2021 schedule and pick up a map at the Athens Cultural Center at 24 Second Street.
